This handsome young Spaniard was born on
September 20, 1981. His full name is Feliciano Lopez Diaz-Guerra, which is a
combination of his father Feliciano's as well as his mother Belen's family
name, as it is customary in Spain. His father, a tennis coach, introduced
him to the sport at the age of five. Feliciano, who is 6'2" tall and plays
left-handed, turned pro in 1997, broke into the top 100 for the first time
in 2002 and finished the year ranked 62 in the world. He considers his serve
as the best feature of his game. We can confirm that - having witnessed a
148 mph serve from his racquet at the International Tennis Championships in
Delray Beach last year. A technician later thought that it must have been a
machine error - we don't think so....! In his spare time he enjoys going out with friends to movies and discos and he's a big fan of Real Madrid soccer team. While more used to exciting his fans with his tennis ability, we managed to persuade him that displaying his modeling talents would be equally (if not more) delightful. And so, while tens of thousands of tennis fans were just across the road attending the Nasdaq-100 Open, our photographer, Manuela, had him all to herself on this deserted strip of beach on Key Biscayne near Miami, Florida. Unfortunately for her - and for all you women out there who have by now mentally journeyed to this deserted island in hopes of an encounter with this hunky Spaniard ... in the real world, Feliciano is happily matched with long-time girlfriend and fellow Spanish tennis pro Maria Antonia Sanchez Lorenzo.
